When I started working with Mandy I was ten years into an injury that had resulted in a compound fracture of my leg that never healed properly. I'd had multiple surgeries and physical therapy sessions over the years trying to improve my situation, but had accepted that I would never be able to run again. Over the first few weeks of working with Mandy we went back to the basic mechanics of walking while she also customized exercises and stretches to work with my condition, anatomy, and structure. Amazingly, in less than 6 months I had progressed so much that we accomplished what hadn't been done in the previous ten years -- I was able to jog on the treadmill! Thirty-second increments turned into minutes and minutes into miles. I was eventually able to run a few 5ks, a 10k, and a few obstacle races!!
What sets Mandy apart from other service providers I'd seen is her commitment to finding solutions for you and her genuine curiosity and concern. Set your goal, show up and she will get you there.

Mandy is an amazing personal trainer. I have been seeing her for over 5 years and am delighted with the positive changes in my strength, fitness, flexibility, body mechanics and agility. Working with Mandy, I have been able to address long-standing problems associated with my lower back and overall mobility and flexibility. Mandy takes the time to get to know each client and tailor a program that addresses the specific needs of the individual. She brings to bear a broad experience base honed over many years as a successful instructor and personal trainer supplemented with her continuing education in the field. She is terrific!

As a commercial pilot, I am confined to my seat and my lower back hurts constantly. At times, it grows progressively worse and then I snap it doing "nothing". One of these times, I went to the gym and I was walking funny. One of the gym employees saw me and introduced me to Mandy. It usually takes me a week before I'm able to walk upright and go back to work. However, after a 1 hour "massage" by Mandy, I walked out of the gym and was ready to go back to work the very next day!
After that experience I continued to see Mandy a couple of times a year for a few years , which kept my work absences due to pain down to maybe once a year. Now I am on the preventive side of treatment and have not missed work at all. Even better, my back feels great most of the time. As a man in my mid 50's that sits A LOT, I cannot recommend Mandy enough. Normally, it takes her about 1 hour to "fix" my back and walk out. Each time that I have pulled my lower back, I have seen Mandy and felt like I can run when she is finished. Anyone that hurts their lower back should give Mandy a call. I cannot recommend her enough.

Amanda Guzdowski, aka Mandy, is a top notch professional trainer and rehab specialist. I had the privilege of working with her for a number of years in a professional capacity, and she also helped me personally climb that rehab mountain not once, not twice, but three times. I’ve had both achilles and patella tendon ruptures over the course of a 3 year period….on the same leg! Anyone that has had a significant physical setback knows there is pattern that you go through for any type of repair. Surgery, healing, and rehab are what you expect. The thing is though, the rehab you get from your typical physical therapist only gets you to the point you can function day to day. For athletes (like myself), that isn’t good enough. We want to be able to perform! In order to do that, muscles need to work in concert. Balance and strength need to be restored. Confidence and trust in your repaired body needs to be rebuilt. That is where Mandy comes in. She has a tremendous understanding of what your body isn’t doing correctly and she knows how to correct it. She can also gauge your current level of capability and progress and use that to help you believe you’ll have a full recovery. For example, I had a physical fitness test coming up in 2 months, but I hadn’t been able to run for about 5 months due to knee pain. I was out of options and my body wasn’t responding to rest. Enter Mandy. She knew how much I wanted to pass this test and that it was my last chance due to an age cut-off. She figured out the problem, worked on the aggravated areas, gave me a protocol to follow, and assured me that I would pass even though I wasn’t in tip-top shape. I passed the test and I’m now on my way to my dream job, and I owe it all to Mandy.
That feat, however is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what she has done for others. She has had dozens of clients that were incredibly thankful that they met Mandy. I’ll never forget one of her clients who had fallen down an elevator shaft in a work accident. His list of ailments was incredible. I couldn’t imagine the challenge that would be to rehab a client in his situation. She stepped up and she worked with him and drastically improved his quality of life.
All that to say, if you’re looking for a knowledgeable professional that has proven time and time again that she knows how to get you where you want to be, your very next move should be to hire Amanda Guzdowski. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

I have done personal training for the past few years with Mandy to rehabilitate and strengthen my body after years of chronic pain and weakness. She is very knowledgeable and skilled, and I appreciate how she listens to my needs and tailors the exercises accordingly. She is compassionate, encouraging, and truly cares, and her massage techniques get great results. I started training with her when she worked at my local gym, and after she left to pursue her own business I stayed with her even though it's a distance away because she is really worth it.

I started training with Mandy after receiving an Air Force scholarship for medical school. As part of the scholarship program I was required to complete Commissioned Officer Training, which meant I had to meet Air Force physical fitness standards (timed 1.5 mile run, minute of push-ups, and a minute of sit-ups) in addition to multiple 5K runs and an obstacle course; if I couldn't pass this test, it would essentially mean that I would forfeit over $200,000 as well as the chance for my dream career.
At the beginning of our sessions, I couldn’t run a mile continuously and struggled through a set of push-ups, however, after around three months of weekly cardio and strength workouts with Mandy, plus additional workouts designed by her but completed on my own time, I was able to achieve “outstanding” scores in all areas of the physical fitness examination. I appreciated how she designed a dynamic exercise regime catered to both my short and long-term fitness goals. Mandy is extremely knowledgeable, inspirational, and personable trainer, and I cannot adequately express how truly awesome it is to workout with her!

After spending the past four months working with Mandy, I couldn't be happier with the results! I have suffered with neck pain and "degenerative spinal stenosis" for years. Surgeries have not resulted in much relief.
I was referred to Mandy by a neighbor who has also had great results. What is impressive is Mandy sits down with you to discuss your situation and determine if she will be able to help. Once she determined that she could help me, she came up
with a routine of stretching and exercises meant to build strength. Her goal was to help me strengthen my core thereby making it easier to do everyday tasks that usually caused so much discomfort. That led to me become "pain free"!! The true goal!
Mandy's knowledge of anatomy and physiology is admirable! She knows just where the knots and discomfort are!! You can't
hide them from her... she knows!!
I am grateful to Mandy and plan to keep her on speed-dial! She is a wonderful human being!!

Mandy came highly recommended to me by my long time Pilates teacher. Pilates gave me a great base but it wasn't addressing all my needs. As a fifty plus year old battling MS, I had a host of physical issues (muscle atrophy, bad posture, herniated disks, limited range of motion, serious gait). I started meeting Mandy weekly about 6 months ago. She created specific exercises tailored to address issues noted above. I followed my weekly homework (generally 3 times on my own). She is very detailed in her instructions and follows through on assignments. I have experienced dramatic improvement in all areas in such a limited time! We joke that I will be ready for the Olympics soon. 2020!

I met Mandy soon after finishing PT for total knee replacement surgery. I was unsure of my ability to go back to a normal life and was looking in the eye of the next knee surgery. My goals, as discussed at length with Mandy were to strengthen both knees and delay as much as possible the second surgery and its overwhelming consequences. I had very poor muscle tone, was unbalanced, walked funny, and needed to build up strength and mobility almost from scratch.
Mandy’s careful and constant guidance, advice and encouragement was crucial to my recovery. In my case, it was a combination of exercises, massage and homework. I didn’t even notice when the pain was gone! I was now challenging myself beyond my prior limitations and my "pain" was now due to tired muscles, no longer about post-surgery. I was ready to challenge myself into a better state of fitness, so my next step was to join a boot camp group led by Mandy who continued to oversee, adjust and accommodate the exercises to fit my needs.
I have reached the happy place I thought I would never get to again and had sorely missed. I can now walk for miles, stand for hours, climb some, and am able to make plans that include all of these without worrying. Today I continue working with Mandy hoping to further delay the unavoidable surgery lurking in my future, knowing that when that day comes I will have much better chances of success and, more importantly, a plan of action and of recovery.
